This Sunday, we joyfully invite all women to join us for a heartfelt Mother’s Day celebration at Calvary Outreach Fellowship Center. In honor of your strength, faith, and nurturing spirit, the men of COFC will be preparing and serving a special early breakfast —just for you!

Breakfast will be served prior to our morning worship service ⛪.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we gathered to honor the strength and resilience of those impacted by breast cancer. During heartfelt testimonials, tears were shared as we remembered those we've lost and celebrated those who have bravely survived.  

Their stories touched every heart, reminding us all of the importance of awareness, regular screenings, and the unwavering support of our community.

Also, It's crucial to remember that breast cancer does not only affect women; men can also be diagnosed and suffer from this disease. We must raise awareness for everyone, encouraging all to be vigilant about their health.

Let’s continue to stand together in hope and support, prioritizing our health and spreading awareness to make a difference.

The Father's Day celebration at Calvary Outreach Fellowship Center (COFC) on Sunday, June 16th, 2024, was a heartfelt testament to the love and admiration we hold for the fathers and father figures within our community. This special occasion was made even more memorable with thoughtful touches and meticulous planning by the women and girls of COFC.

Following the hearty breakfast service that featured a delicious array of dishes—from salmon cakes to savory omelets and fresh fruit platters—the celebration continued with a delightful surprise. COFC women and girls showcased their culinary talents once again by preparing and crafting desserts on site, adding a sweet finale to the morning's festivities.

The eating area was adorned with beautiful decorations that combined festive balloons with COFC-branded cups, plates, and table covers in elegant black and gold hues. These details not only enhanced the ambiance but also reflected the attention to detail and dedication of our volunteers in creating a welcoming and celebratory environment.

Throughout the event, fathers were honored with heartfelt tributes and expressions of gratitude, emphasizing the profound impact of their presence and guidance in our lives. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and camaraderie as families and friends gathered to share in this special day, celebrating the strength and wisdom that fathers bring to our congregation.

Calvary Outreach Fellowship Center held a momentous Elevation Ordination ceremony for Apostle-Elect Bishop George T. Brown Jr. The event took place at the Agape Worship Center, located at 2230 NW 22nd Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311.

An Evening of Spiritual Significance
The Elevation Ordination ceremony was a significant milestone in the spiritual journey of Bishop George T. Brown Jr. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation, reverence, and joy as family, friends, and congregants gathered to witness this pivotal moment. The Agape Worship Center, adorned with elegant decor and vibrant floral arrangements, set the perfect stage for this sacred event.

A Gathering of Faithful Witnesses
The ceremony brought together a diverse group of attendees, all united by their faith and admiration for Bishop Brown. Distinguished guests included clergy from various denominations, community leaders, and members of both Calvary Outreach Fellowship Center and Agape Worship Center. Each person present shared in the excitement and profound respect for the newly ordained Apostle.

The powerful music added a profound layer of spiritual depth to the ceremony, moving many in attendance to tears and heartfelt worship.

Ceremonial Acts
Following the Affirmation by Apostle Darnell Mack (Pastor & Presiding Prelate, Agape Worship Center), several ceremonial acts took place:

• Signing of The Covenant & Certificates

The solemn Signing of The Covenant & Certificates was a poignant moment, symbolizing Bishop Brown's commitment to uphold the principles and responsibilities of his new role as Apostle. With reverence and determination, Bishop Brown affixed his signature to the covenant, signifying his dedication to serving God and his community with integrity and humility.

• The Pouring of the Oil

In a deeply symbolic ritual, the Pouring of the Oil marked a moment of consecration and anointing. As the fragrant oil flowed over Bishop Brown's head, it symbolized the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and divine favor upon him. This sacred act affirmed Bishop Brown's consecration to his apostolic ministry, empowering him with spiritual strength and guidance for the journey ahead.

• Imposition of Hands

With reverence and solemnity, the Imposition of Hands followed, as senior clergy and esteemed guests laid their hands upon Bishop Brown. This ancient tradition, rooted in biblical precedent, symbolized the transference of spiritual authority, blessings, and empowerment from one generation to the next. Through the laying on of hands, Bishop Brown was imbued with the prayers, wisdom, and support of his spiritual mentors and peers, equipping him for the challenges and opportunities of his apostolic calling.

• Investiture

The investiture part of the ceremony was particularly moving as the congregation was carried along with an explanation, backed up by relevant scripture, of the parts of the Apostle outfit. Benediction and Recessional
The ceremony concluded with a benediction by Apostle Darnell Mack, invoking God's blessings and guidance for Bishop Brown in his new role. The event ended with a dignified recessional by The College of Apostles and Bishops, signifying the unity and support of the church leadership for the newly ordained Apostle.

A reception was provided by COFC headed by Sister Oliver (Ways & Means) and a group of volunteers, who served cake along with various other types of foods.

The congregation looks forward to the leadership, vision, and spiritual guidance that Bishop Brown will bring. Calvary's Mother's 2024 Day celebration at Calvary Outreach Fellowship Center (COFC) was not only a feast for the senses but also a profound testament to the unity and dedication within our congregation. The men of COFC, led by Apostle George T. Brown JR (then Bishop), took center stage in serving and honoring the women who enrich our lives with their love and strength.

From the early hours of the morning, COFC men transformed the fellowship hall into a haven of elegance and warmth, meticulously setting up tables adorned with beautiful decorations. They not only took charge of the setup but also showcased their culinary prowess by preparing a full continental breakfast that included savory sausages, creamy grits, and a surprise treat—pancakes made with a secret ingredient that delighted everyone: ginger ale! (you didn't hear that from me).

Each woman was greeted with a heartfelt gesture—a beautiful rose—and was served with care and respect throughout the morning. The atmosphere buzzed with joy and gratitude as families and friends gathered to celebrate the mothers and mother figures in their lives.

What made this event truly exceptional was the inclusive participation of every man in our community, including Apostle (then Bishop), who served with humility and grace. Their presence and involvement conveyed a profound message of appreciation and honor for the women who enrich our lives with their love and wisdom.

As the morning unfolded, heartfelt conversations and laughter filled the air, creating a space where love and appreciation flourished. The event was not just about the delicious food and thoughtful decorations but also about recognizing the invaluable role of mothers in our congregation and beyond.

The Women of Worth (W.O.W), part of Calvary Outreach Fellowship Center's Women's Ministry recently had a brilliant and engaging time at Sunrise Beach at Fort Lauderdale, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. It was a beautiful morning filled with laughter, fellowship, and the serene presence of God.

A Spectacular Sunrise
The ladies gathered at the crack of dawn, just as the first rays of sunlight began to paint the sky with hues of pink, orange, and gold. As they settled on the soft sands of Fort Lauderdale Beach, the awe-inspiring view of the sunrise set the perfect backdrop for a morning of spiritual and personal renewal. Watching the sun rise over the glistening waters was a reminder of God's wondrous creation and His continuous blessings.

A Bountiful Breakfast at Sunrise
From as far as Dade County, women came together, bringing with them a variety of delicious finger foods, drinks, and fresh fruits. The assortment of treats was as diverse as the group itself, with something for everyone to enjoy. The breakfast spread included:

Freshly baked pastries and croissants
An array of tropical fruits like mangoes, pineapples, and berries
Refreshing juices and smoothies

The delightful array of food not only nourished their bodies but also added to the festive and joyful atmosphere of the morning.

Fellowship and Worship
More than just breakfast, the event provided a much-needed opportunity for all of the ladies to connect, share, and support one another. Sitting on individual beach chairs, they enjoyed the serenity of the beach, offered prayers, and reflected on their journeys. The sound of waves gently crashing on the shore created a calming ambiance, perfect for moments of silent meditation and worship.

The serenity of the beach, combined with the warmth of fellowship, allowed the women to feel God's presence in a profound and intimate way. It was a time to recharge spiritually and emotionally, away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

A Total Success
The event was a total success, exceeding everyone’s expectations. The Women of Worth group left the beach feeling rejuvenated and inspired. The unanimous sentiment was clear: this experience was too wonderful not to repeat. Plans are already in motion to revisit this beautiful location for future gatherings.
